Zuhaairah Safodien from Summit Primary School, is a 2014 Growsmart Story writing competition winner. She received a bursary to attend Christel House, South Africa.
Zuhaairah said that she was really excited about having been accepted into Christel House. Her mother, beaming with pride, said “I am very proud of Zuhaairah, because she has worked so hard at school. She is not like the children who hang around the streets – she is always in her room making sure her school work is complete.”
“I would never have been able to give her an opportunity like this,” she added. “I want to thank Growsmart for helping us to make this happen.”
Christel House definitely made the right decision in accepting Zuhaairah – she is doing exceptionally well and
enjoying every minute of high school.
